NSS 87 Closure Procedure in DOP Finacle

  • NSS 87 account is discontinued scheme in DOP
  • As it is discontinued scheme then the system automatically during migration all the NSS 87 accounts will be credit freeze so we have to unfreeze first.The detailed procedure is as follows:-
  1.  HAFSM:-By using this menu one can freeze/unfreeze the account by giving the following details.Select the function "Unfreeze" give the account number then click on "GO" 


Then the system will show the credit freeze details as shown



Then click on Submit to unfreeze the account and verify in the supervisor

2.In the second step if the customer want to deduct TDS then to collect the charges invoke the menu HCACC else if he submits the tax form then go to CASBAM and give the tax form as 15G/15H.

  • If the customer want to deduct the tax then invoke HCACC then select the function "collect" give account number as shown


then click on "GO" then the system calculates 20% tax from the principle amount as shown



Then click on submit and verify it.

  • If the customer submit tax form 15G/15H then go to account modification menu invoke CASBAM then select function "modify" and give account number click on "GO"


Then in the next screen select the tax form as shown


Then submit and verify the same in the supervisor role.

3.In the third step we have to make the amount containing in the ledger to "ZERO" by invoking HTM\HXFER select fucntion "ADD" and transaction type "customer induced"  as shown 


Then click on "GO" then give the debit account id and amount as shown below 

As we have selected customer induced then click on add as shown


Then give the credit account details as postmaster account or customer SB account and the same amount what we gave in record1 as shown 



Then click on post and verify the same.

4.In the fourth we have to close the NSS 87 account by using the menu HCAAC select function "CLOSE" , give account number  and select transaction type as cash or transfer depending on the amount  as shown


Then click on "GO" then in the next screen give reason code and submit 



Once it is verified invoke the ledger to view the current year interest give account number delete the from date as shown


then click on GO it shows the current year interest as shown





Then pay the customer principle+CYI as shown above.

NSS 87 withdrawal procedure in DOP Finacle

  • NSS 87 is a discontinued scheme in DOP i.e., for a discontinued scheme in general we don't accept any deposits(credit transactions).
  • For withdrawal in an NSS 87 account the eligibility criteria is 50% of preceding 4th financial year value from the current financial year and in between if any withdrawals have been taken then we have to less that amount i.e., whichever is less amount.
  • The maximum withdrawal eligibility for the customers 65 years and above (i.e., 15H customers) is 240000/-(two lakhs forty thousand only).
  • The maximum withdrawal eligibility for the customers below 65 years (i.e., 15G customers) is 160000/-(one lakh sixty thousand only) for Male customers and 190000/-(one lakh ninety thousand only) for Female customers as per the DOP SB orders.
  • Only 1 withdrawal is allowed per financial year.
  • If the amount of withdrawal is less than 2500/- then their will be no tax and if the amount is 2500/- and above then their will be 20% tax on the amount of withdrawal.If the customer provides 15G/15H then their will be no tax irrespective amount.
  • Mode of disbursement can be cash,cheque or SB transfer as per need.

Step by Step Procedure in DOP Finacle

  • There are two ways of disbursement of NSS 87 withdrawal amount in general in DOP finacle they are
  1. BY USING CASH
  2. BY TRANSFER( Either Cheque or SB Transfer)

BY USING CASH

  • NSS 87 withdrawal by Cash mode can be done by using the menu CTM but make sure if the customer presents 15G/15H then update the same in the account modification menu CASBAM and verify then only proceed with CTM
  • Invoke the menu CASBAM and select the function as Modify then enter the account number as shown 





Then click on Submit and verify the same in the supervisor.
  • Then in the next step invoke the menu CTM and select the function as Add and function type as Withdraw as shown


Then click on Go then in the next screen and enter the account number and amount as shown in the figure



Then click on Post and verify the same in the supervisor login.

By Transfer Mode

  • In order to disburse the NSS 87 withdrawal amount by using transfer mode either to SB account or postmaster account.
  • Invoke the menu CXFER and select the function as Add and Transaction type as Customer Induced as shown



Then click on GO then enter the Debit account id as NSS 87 account id ,Credit account id as postmaster account id or SB account id and amount as shown in the figure



Then click on Post then the system will generate the the transaction id note it and verify the same in the supervisor login.

EOD Scheduled Reports in Finacle

  • Scheduled reports can be viewed in HPR select "scheduled" and give your "SOLID" then click on GO  as follows

  • These scheduled reports are only enabled to System administrator if the system throws an error "user not authorized to view " as shown below figure then contact DOP IT chennai to enable the reports to the system administrator user login.

  •   After completion of EOD batch applications will be completed by the system in which we can find no of  batches completed by the system.Among those System administrator should mainly concentrate on "Interest Application failure report " select from the records and view them if the report shows "The interest credit account is not valid. Hence sundry account [500003000337] is credited." then there is no problem but sometimes it shows "verification is pending interest is not generated" note that number and verify.


  • In Finacle if any account modification is pending for TDA accounts (TD,SCSS and MIS) then system will not calculated the interest on due date unless it is verified.
  • So many reports will be generated by name "Interest Application failure report" view all of them and notice whether any pending verification's are there if so verify them on the next day interest will be credited.
    
    
  • The concerned system administrator should view this report daily which is the most important task after EOD.

Steps to be followed before proceeding for EOD operation

 The following are the steps to be followed before proceeding for EOD operations

  • Invoke HFTI and select the transaction status as " entered" then click on go  



The click on go as follows then it should display as "No records fetched"



  • Invoke HFTI and select the transaction status as "posted" then click on go 





    •  The click on go as follows then it should display as "No records fetched"

    • Invoke HFINRPT go to page 4 report no 48 click on "EOD blocking validation report" then give the SOLID and submit a batch will be generated view the report in HPR 

    Then select the report EOD blocking validation and view the report EOD blocking validation report





     Then in the report if any pending transactions are there clear them

    • Then inquire the reinvestment account SOLID+0387 then the amount in this account before EOD should be "zero"
    • Also invoke the menu HAFI and check for every teller whether there are any unverified transactions by giving entered by field as "tellerid" and authorized as "Not authorized" then click on go

    It will show the pending records if any records exists clear them by using respective menu

    • Check all the teller's cash position by invoking the menu HTCPIAE
    • Finally start the EOD by invoking the menu HSCOD.

    Issues in EOD and corrective actions in DOP Finacle

    • Generally after clearing al the blocking validation we will perform EOD(End Of Day) in DOP Finacle.
    • EOD in DOP Finacle is of three steps
    1. HSCOD
    2. HSOLCOP
    3. HSCOLD

    HSCOD:- 


    • This is the first step in EOD operation which includes the following SOL Status they are
    1. PRECODDONE
    2. CHANGE OF DATE INITIATED
    3. SOL DATE CHANGED
    4. POSTCOD DONE

    HSOLCOP

    • This is the second step in EOD operation which includes the SOL Status as
    1. SOL CLOSURE BATCH JOB DONE

    HSCOLD

    • This is the third and final step in EOD operation which include the SOL Status as 
    1. SOL CLOSURE DONE
    • For all steps EOD event status should be "
    • But we will face some of the techincal issues while performing the said three steps and corrective measures are mentioned below

    Issues faced in First step of EOD and corrective action  at Office level:

    Steps to know the EOD blocking validation report in DOP Finacle

    The following are the important steps to know the EOD bloking validation reports in the DOP Finacle they are mentioned below


    1. Invoke HFTI and check for the Entered status Transactions and post the same.



       2.  Invoke the menu HFTI and check for the Posted Status and verify the same.


     
    3. Invoke the menu HMICZ  and inquire on non closed zones. Close the zone after posting the inward cheques.

    4. Invoke the menu HICHB/HIMC and inruire on unverified inventory transactions and verify the same inHICHB/HIMC respectively,




    6. Invoke the menu HAFI and check for not authorized records and verify the same.



    7. Invoke the menu HTV for bulk verification of transactions

    SB ORDER NO 08/2015 Increasing the cash handling limit for small savings agents and Commission to Kisan Vikas Patra


    • Cash handling limit for small savings agents previously was Rs 10000/- but in the revised SB order no 08/2015 issued by Ministry of Communication & IT cash handling limit increased to Rs 20000/-.
    • Cash handling limit upto Rs 20000/- for all small savings schemes if the investment is through an authorized agent.
    • In the revised order 08/2015 commission for Kisan Vikas Patra also raised from 0.5% to 1% w.e.f. 15/07/2015.

    Certificates printing (No records fetched) error in DOP Finacle

    • In DOP we have two types of certificates categories at present they are NSC( National Savings Certificate) and KVP ( Kisan Vikas Patra )
    •  In DOP Finacle application after issuing the certificates we have to print the certificatescompulsarily in order to deduct the stock in the application.
    • If anyone forget to print the certificates then in the Finacle application stock will not be deducted hence make a practise to print the certificates immediately after issuing the certificates in order to eradicate the printing issues.
    • For printing of certificates in DOP Finacle application the menu option is HDRP (Deposit Receipt Print).
    • When we try print the certificates using the menu HDRP sometimes we get an error as "FER000238-No Records were fetched "
    • The screen shot of the error will appear as mentioned in the below figure



    Solution for the above problem

       The above problem can be occurred due to the following below mentioned reasons
    1. By default the account statement option at the opening of certificates will be "R-Deposit Receipt" , but if the user selected the account statement option as "Passbook" then the above mentioned error will occur i.e., the system will throw the menitoned error at the time of printing.Hence kindly invoke the menu CSCACM(Modification after verificaton menu )  and change the account statement option to "R-Deposit Receipt" and verify in the supervisor.For reference find the screen shot mentioned below 

    2.  If any modification is done for the Certificates accounts before printing then also the system will throw the said error while printing.This can be inquired using the menu HAFI (Audit FIle Inquiry ) by using the following process mentioned below.

     Invoke the menu HAFI and enter the following 
    Enter the A/c ID _______________________
    Select the Authorized as "Not authorized" as mentioned in the below figure



     Then click on Go then the system will show the account is modified but not verified.
    For this then verify the account modification by using the menu CSCACM(Modification after verificaton menu ) and then print the certificates.

    Error while modifying the expiry date of agent in DOP Finacle

    • When we try to modify the expiry date of agent in the menu HDSAMM then the system will throw the error as mentined in the below figure.


    The system will display the error "Unverified accounts exists for this direct selling agent"  as mentioned in the above figure.

    Root cause of the problem

    • When any account opneing through that particular agent is not verified then the system will not allow to modify the agent details i.e, license expiry date of that agent.
    • Note that when any account is opened through agent then immediately verification of account creation shuld be done.

    Solution for the above problem.


    •  For the above problem we have to find out the pending unauthorised accounts linked to that particular agent by using the below mentioned procedure.
    • Invoke the menu HDSAMM and then slect the function as  "Modify" and enter the agent DSA ID as shown in the below figure.

    Then click on Go then the system will show the General details in that screen click on the tab "Inquires" as shown in the figure


    Then the system will display the screen as shown in the below figure.



    Then select the option "Related accounts inquiry" as shown in the above figure then the system will display the below screen as mentioned 



    Then in this screen select the option verify as "No" as mentioned in the below figure



    Then click on Go then the system will display the list of unverified accounts for the particular agent which we are trying to modify as shown in the below figure



    Verification of Unverified accounts

    • Invoke the menu HOAACVTD select the function as Verify and enter the account number then click on Go then the system will display the number of tabs one should visit all the tabs and finally submit.
    • After verifiaction of pending accounts then finally do the modification  using HDSAMM i.e., change the license expiry date the sytem will work smoothly.

    Certificates discharge error in DOP Finacle

    • When we close the KVP or NSC certificate then we will face the error " A/C balance is not equal to Repayment account"
    • This error usually we face when we try to discharge the certificates by using the bulk closure option i.e., CNSBCV.
    • This is a technical error this should be handled at the back end by the Help Desk team.
    • The error can be viewed in HPR(PRint Report) menu as shown in the below figure



    • Raise the ticket  for the above problematic accounts with the Infosys HD(Help Desk) team.

    Solution for the above problem:-

    • Infosys HD team will correct the balance and then they will inform to execute the command HUHNU (This menu is accessible to CEPT team only.
    • CEPT team will run the command HUHNU for the problematic accounts.
    • Then after this step user can discharge the certificate and verify in the supervisor. 

    value date must be more than the minimun value date error for TDA account in DOP Finacle

    • For TDA accounts( MIS, SCSS and TD accounts) when we close these accounts we generally face the error " Value date must be more than the minimum value date error " the error screen shot is attached below
    • The error while verifying at the supervisor is shown below





    One can observe in the above screen the same error shown " For the said account was tried to close on 31/10/2015  but the closure value date is mentioned as 24-10-2015 in the screen shot"



    Solution for the above problem


    1. Insupervisor login---Cancel the closure operation use the function as X-cancel enter the account number and then submit the transaction.
    2. In counter PA login---The closure value date should be the current date(today's date ) at the time of closure.
                      For Ex;- If you are trying to close the account on 31/10/2015 then enter the closure                                       value date also as 31/10/2015.
        3. Then verify the closure in the supervisor it will work smoothly.

    Solution for MIS/TD/SCSS INTEREST TO SB A/C NOT SHOWN IN LOT OF SB IN DOP FINACLE

    • As you all know that Directorate has issued SB Order No. 12/2015 to use of SB Account at the time of payment of maturity values and interest payment. 
    • SOLs has started to payment of interest in HTM by using the transaction type as "Customer Induced" i..e, credit their interest in SB Account. Many SOLs are reporting an issue not showing of transfer interest payment transaction in SB LOT.

    Root cause of Problem :-

    •  CPA(counter PA) might forgot to fill the Transaction Particulars field. The transactions done without filling the contents in the Transaction Particulars field those transactions does't appear in LOT.
    • For example find the below screen shot 



    Solution for the above problem

    • While performing the transaction in HTM using the transaction type as Customer induced enter the remarks in the Transaction particulars filed as MIS account(account number) Interest Transfer or SCSS account(account number) Interest Transfer or TD account(account number) Interest Transfer.
    • For example if you are giving the payment for MIS account number 1234567890 then in the transaction particulars filed enter as " 1234567890 Interest Transfer " as shown in the below figure then the amount will reflect in SB LOT.
